Hawaii 2016 Part I

Hawaii has always held a special place in my heart since I was a little girl, Rej and I hadn't been able to visit for a couple years due to both my pregnancy and moving into our new home. We were a little nervous about the trip because of the distance we were travelling with our 8 month old Max.  We really didn't know what to expect, as our only comparison was a trip to New York for our friends Rich and Jaime's (who ironically met us in Hawaii) wedding when Max was 9 weeks old. To our delight he was an amazing little traveller, and was just as excited as we were to arrive in Hawaii.  It was so nice to spend full days together as a family, escape the cold (not to mention the record snowfall in Winnipeg) and just kick back and relax and enjoy the simple pleasures in life for a couple weeks. We hiked, swam, surfed, ate well and took full advantage of all that is "island life".
